If you look at the curriculum pages under the information tab you can see what your child will be learning during their time in Year 5.

To help your child at home with learning their spellings click on the parent guide link below to download a great resource we use in school - Spelling Shed.

Parent Guide to Spelling Shed

We had a great day at the Calderdale Industrial Museum learning about how children were made to work.  We were sock making, doffing, printing  and even did a bit of mining.  The museum were kind enough to give us all a goody bag to take home.

Cooking Fun

We had a great time making our own soup using vegetables that were available in Anglo Saxon times.  It was very tasty!
